                                                             Constructive Response

               There has been alot of homicides in Oakland over the past 10 years especially involving
                black males and the oakland public school system. There needs to be a way where black
                males can go to school without getting involved in gangs, fights, being suspended from
                school and even being shot and killed by other gang members. Some of the boys in the
                article were able to graduate on time because they stayed out of trouble, concentrated on
                there work focused on getting into a university or college but, the heartache was they saw
                there friends get killed right in front of their eyes. That made it sad for them at the
                graduation.


               I feel like teaches make a big difference in there students lives and education just like in part
               two of this article Oakland Classes Offer Black Males Hope. Tiago Robinson was a teacher
               at Oakland high school all the students were black and male. He wanted to teach his
               students about becoming strong black men like he had become. It seems like black males
               have harder times in school then black females a lot of the males at Oakland high had
               fathers that were incarcerated and some of the students were starting to follow in their
               footsteps.

                A seperate but equal school for black boys in Oakland black males post lower scores than
               english learners they don't do well on test beacuse they don't study or have tutors. They miss
               miss school don't do homework and just like to fight at school with other students because
               of threats. I wish there could come a time when all black males would take there education
               seriously without any violence but will that ever happen?
